Western Railway Act Apprentice Recruitment 2016
Western Railway (WR) Mumbai Division will be recruiting ITI Fresher apprentice (act) in different posts. There are vacancy for various posts like Electrical EMU car shed, Elect Valsad etc. Those who have done ITI in relevant trades like electrician, electronics, mechanical are eligible for the fresher apprentice posts in WR. Post wise vacancy for the candidates are –
Electrical EMU Car shed: 185 Posts
Elect TRS/ VALSAD: 69 Posts
Electrical Coaching Power: 160 Posts
Mechanical: 143 Posts
Vacancy will be reserved for SC ST OBC PH candidates also. Category wise vacancy break up list is given on the official advt which can be downloaded from the link given at the last.
Educational Qualification Required:
Eligibility for act apprentice in Western railway (WR) – candidates must have passed Madhyamik or 10th with 50% marks and should also have done ITI in relevant trade like machinist, electrician, wireman, welder, electronics mechanics, diesel mechanic etc. Detailed eligibility criteria for act apprentice post can be seen from official advertisement.

Last date for application form receipt – 20-06-2016.
Salary Structure:
The ITI apprentices will be given stipend year wise. The monthly salary will be given consolidated form and not pay scale.
Age Limit:
Lower Limit = 15 years.
Upper Limit = 24 years.
Calculation of the age will be done as on 1-01-2016. Age relaxation will be given for the SC ST candidates.
Exam Fee:
Candidates have to pay Rs 100 through postal order or demand draft. The demand draft should be made such that the draft should be payable at the prescribed bank branch.
Application fee is to be paid by General male candidates only. SC ST and female candidates don’t need to pay any fee.
How to Apply:
Application form has to be downloaded from the website and should be printed on plain paper. This should be filled duly and should be submitted to the postal address of respective Western Railway Branch or office of Divisional Railway Manager.
